The United Church of Canada and it’s thousands of churches across the country place a high value on the community decision making process. We believe that the Spirit of God is at work and speaking through all the people in our community, and so we use a democratic committee system where the voices of the many can express God’s love and wisdom in the world.
Here are some of the committees that make up our church community. Let us know if you are interested in being a part of one of these teams that help guide the life and work of our congregation:
The CAPC Board – Providing leadership and discernment for the important decisions that are made in the life of our congregation
Worship, Christian Education, and Pastoral Care – Guiding and nurturing the community through the guidance of faith celebration, formation and care in our community
The CAPC Trustees – Acting as stewards for the financial holdings and property that are entrusted to the church community
Events Coordination – Enlivening the congregation and reaching out with community events and fundraisers
Ministry & Personnel – Offering support and oversight to our minister and staff
Finance – Organizing the daily, weekly, and yearly financial workings of the congregation
