Rev. David Lefneski

Minister
Although his origins are in Guelph, Ontario, David has journeyed from a unilingual upbringing to becoming a francophile who has lived in Québec since 1980.

After being a minister in Verdun, Montreal with the United Church for nearly 20 years, David has moved to the Eastern Townships in 2018 where he has become Emmanuel United Church’s spiritual leader.

He is a violinist, gardener, bibliophile and is father to Mark and Luke, as well as foster dad to 7 others.

Karen Ingalls

Administrative Assistant
Karen Ingalls, joined our staff as church secretary during the summer of 2005. Born and raised in the area, she brings with her extensive administrative experience from both the commercial and non-profit volunteer sectors. With Karen’s background in the arts, she can be found during the summer and fall months perusing the numerous art festivals, appreciating the latest creations from the artists.

Susan Reininger

Music Director & Organist
Susan Reininger has been the organist and choir director at Emmanuel United since 2000. Music has been the focal point of her life. She has taught music at the elementary and secondary level in Quebec as well as in Hungary.

Besides music at church, Susan also directs the Pot-Pourri Women’s choir and the Knowlton Harmony Band.

When not at church, she is busy with her dog Bella!
